Privacy Policy

Clicker Remote (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a universal TV remote and media caster that runs entirely on your device and your local Wi-Fi network. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. The app has no backend server, no user accounts, and no login. We cannot see how you use the app, and no usage or personal data ever leaves your device to reach us.

Information stored on your device

To function as a remote, the app stores the following locally on your device only (in the app’s private storage and, where noted, the iOS Keychain). None of it is transmitted to us or any third party:

• Your TVs. The names, network addresses (IP), model, and MAC addresses of TVs you have discovered or added, so the app can reconnect to them.
• Pairing credentials. Per-TV pairing tokens, client keys, and security keys (for example, Android TV identity certificates and Fire TV ADB keys) are stored in the iOS Keychain so you don’t have to re-pair each time. These authenticate to your own TV only.
• Preferences. Your settings, such as theme, remote layout, shortcuts and macros, and haptic strength.

Deleting the app removes this data from your device.

Local network access

Clicker Remote requires access to your local network to find your TV (via Bonjour/mDNS and a scan of your local subnet) and to send remote-control commands and media to it. These communications stay on your local network, between your device and your TV. We do not receive or log any of this traffic.

Microphone (voice search)

If you use voice search (available on Google TV), the app accesses the microphone only while you hold the voice button. The captured audio is streamed directly to your TV over your local network so the TV can perform the search. The app does not record, save, or send this audio to us. Once forwarded to your TV, the audio is handled by that TV platform’s own voice service (for example, Google), subject to that platform manufacturer’s privacy policy.

Photos and videos (casting)

If you use casting (the Share feature), you choose photos or videos using the standard iOS picker. The app processes the selected media on your device and serves it to your TV over your local network (or via AirPlay). Your media is not uploaded to us or any third party — it travels only from your device to your TV on your network.

Purchases

Clicker Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple, not us, handles your payment. We never receive your name, payment card, or billing information. The app only checks your purchase status locally through Apple’s StoreKit to unlock Pro features.

Analytics, tracking, and advertising

Clicker Remote contains no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and the app’s privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data.

Children’s privacy

Clicker Remote does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is not directed at children under 13 and contains no data collection that would raise concerns under COPPA or similar laws.

Data security

Because we hold no data on any server, there is no server-side data to breach. Sensitive credentials stored on your device are kept in the iOS Keychain.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and posting the revised policy at this URL.
